Working in outsourcing I had the chance to work on a variety of projects, with different technologies, people and ways of working. This gave me the opportunity to see diffrent approaches, what worked well and what not so well. It also helped me understand what I prefer. I prefer working with friendly and passionate people as that's how I learn the most. I enjoy being involved in the design of the product, not just coding it and I take pride in building great user experiences.
At Garmin I'm developing a companion app for a satellite communicator device. I'm working directly with people from the backend, device firmware and satellite teams to design and implement the features. I implemented communication with the device over BLE and WiFi, added offline support for the app's core use cases and fully migrated the app to Jetpack Compose.
At Halcyon Mobile I learned the importance of being surrounded by supportive people and I remember with nostalgia especially the 2 years working on the Lego Life app, a safe social network app for kids. We worked on modernizing the app, improving the user experience and ensuring the app worked reliably for the 1 million kids sharing their creations.
I also had the chance to work on a variety of other projects, from an educational app for underprivileged children, to a calendar app for an IoT device running custom Android and a payment sdk linking insurance and banking apps.
I get easily motivated when it comes to implementing beautiful designs and I'm open to learning new technologies.
Interested not only in making pretty apps, in my spare time I'm experimenting with creating images.
